Unit43 Distilling Company was founded in Cape Town, South Africa in 2018, not to follow a trend, but to make something genuinely exceptional.
From the beginning, our philosophy has been simple: find the finest quality unique ingredients the Cape has to offer, and refine them into spirits worthy of the world stage. It is a standard we have never compromised on.
After more than 200 recipe iterations using wild Cape botanicals and hand-selected natural ingredients, our Original Gin was born. Smooth, complex, and unmistakably South African, it went on to win 18 international gold medals and was voted Best Gin in Africa three consecutive years by The Gin Guide UK.
That same obsessive attention to quality runs through every spirit we produce. Our Oak Wooded Gin, Five Year Old Brandy, and Forty Three Stripes Dark Rum are each barrel-aged, copper distilled, and built to the same uncompromising standard.
Today, Unit43 Spirits are sold across in 7 countries, across Europe, Africa and in Mauritius with new markets opening in 2026. Our awards speak for themselves. Our growth speaks for itself.
