Make Your Own Gin in Cape Town: The Unit43 Gin Making Experience

Want to be a gin making super hero?  Looking for something to celebrate and create delicious gin as a group or team? That's exactly what we offer at Unit43 Distilling Co. in Cape Town, and it's becoming one of the most popular group experiences in the city.

What is a gin making experience? Our Gin Making Experience is a hands-on session hosted personally by Master Distiller Jason at our gorgeous distillery in Ndabeni, Cape Town. Your group works collaboratively through the process of selecting botanicals, discussing flavours, blending, distilling, bottling, and labelling a unique gin, one that your group created from scratch. Enjoy a tasting with gourmet platters and cocktails, and at the end of the session, you each take home your bottle of glorious gin.

It typically runs for 3–4 hours and is available for groups of Min 8 to Max 24 people.
Private making sessions are usually on Saturdays from 11.30 - 3.00.

Why is Jason the right person to learn from? Jason has spent years perfecting the Unit43 range  a collection of spirits that has won 18 international gold medals and been voted Best Gin in Africa three years running. He doesn't just know how gin is made; he knows how exceptional gin is made, and he brings that knowledge to every session in a way that's engaging, accessible, and fun.

Who is it perfect for?

  • Corporate team building - creative, collaborative, and a lot more interesting than a conference room
  • Hen parties and bachelor events - genuinely unique and something the group will talk about for years
  • Birthday celebrations - especially for the gin lover in your life
  • Client entertainment - impress clients with an experience they haven't done before

  • Full hands-on gin making session hosted by Jason
  • Guided distillery tour and talk
  • Tasting of the Unit43 spirit range
  • Your own labelled bottle of gin to take home
